Neophytos L. Papaneophytou, PhD, is a child psychologist in New York who holds additional counseling licenses in multiple U.S. states. With his clinical focus on young children, Dr. Papaneophytou's research interests pertain to acculturation and immigration as processes impacting children and their families, fatherhood, Parent-Infant Mental Health, as well as autism. Dr. Papaneophytou has received extensive training on issues pertinent to child abuse and neglect and has conducted numerous forensic psychological interviews. He has a clinical practice within midtown Manhattan and Kingston, New York. Since 2000, he has been teaching abnormal, child, developmental, family & marriage, industrial, social, sex and gender, and other psychology courses for the City University of New York. Dr. Papaneophytou has recently established the U.S.-based, non-profit organization, "Magic Always Happens, Inc." through which he is intensely working toward expanding education, research, and treatment in support of people of all ages on the autism spectrum. All proceeds from sales of all of his children's books, "Magic Always Happens: My Daddy Loves Me!", "Fluffadelia", and "Strong as a Lion, Big as a Tree", support his charitable cause. His first book has been translated and is available in multiple languages (Spanish, French, Greek, and English). His most recent academic book entitled "Acculturation Experiences and Personality Characteristics of Greek- Americans" is also available worldwide.
