The main objective of the study was to assess the fulfilment of INC requirements for the conduct of B SC nursing programme. The research design selected for the study was cross sectional. The sample consisted of six nursing educational institutions, 48 class room teaching, 48 clinical area, 60 nurse educators,600 nursing students (equally from Govt. and non Govt. institutions) The findings of the study revealed that,No institutions have 100% fulfilment of INC requirements. Government institutions obtained 71.07% and Non-Government institutions obtained 60.05% of scores.There is significant difference in the overall scores obtained for Govt. and non Govt. Institutions. 12% of the classes of Government institutions and 8.33% of the classes of Non-Government institutions obtained scores between 31 and 45. Observation of the clinical area and clinical supervision revealed that there is need for improvement in teacher student ratio, clinical supervision time, teacher student interaction in clinical area, improvement in supplies and equipment and involvement of staff nurses and head nurses in the clinical supervision of students.
