Patrick Yay's official name is Dr. Maung Maung Yay but he is generally know as Patrick. He was born on the day when the British and allies invaded Normandy each on the D Day the 6th of June in Rangoon, Myanmar (Burma). He graduated in medicine in 1968 and in Double History and Philosophy in 1969.He practiced medicine as a Paediatric Surgeon until he left the country for 8 years. He started painting in 1975 till today. He lived there until 1977 under the brutal military regime of General Ne Win, with great difficulties and hardships which he described some details in his First part Agony to Agony up until 1977, and in Second part Through the Eagle Eyes he has mentioned his life in Britain with many difficulties as a foreigner doctor in the Institutionalized Racism, now like Duchess of Sussex Megan Markel and Prince Harry describing about their experience of Institutionalized Racism inside Royal family and the Buckingham Palace. His experience of the Institutionalized Racism is in British NHS and educational system until he left Britain on the 29th of August 2009 , two weeks after his retirement from St. Thomas Hospital, London. Since he came from a political family back ground his life became risky and in danger. His uncle was a private advisor of last democratically elected Prime minister U Nu and was also house arrested and constantly watched by military intelligence with the Prime Minister until 1988 when Aung San Suu Kyi won the election with landslide but denied the power and house arrested and imprisoned U Nu together; eventually he was killed in the Insein Prison. On 25th of November,1975 at the funeral of Secretary General of United Nation his younger brother was arrested and put into prison without any conviction ( for 3years.). By that time he realized that his life was in danger and thus he finally left Burma on 29th of March 1977 for Britain. These are written in detail in his first part Agony to Agony. However, he left Britain on 29th of August 2009 for Hungary since he could not live any longer in Britain under Institutionalized Racism, which is described in detail in part two of Agony to Agony- Through the Eagle Eyes. This book is about his life at Hungary as an artist and later become a writer, and thus most of the contents in this book are related to his artist's life and writer's life till today.
