Johanna Waters is Professor of Human Geography University College London, UK, visiting fellow of Kellogg College, Oxford and Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales. She works on aspects of household migration and education with a particular interest in East Asia. Rachel Brooks is Professor of Sociology and Associate Dean at the University of Surrey, UK, an executive editor of the British Journal of Sociology of Education and co-editor of the 'Research into Higher Education ' book series. Her research interests focus on the sociology of education.
