Like any other developing country, the Democratic Republic of Congo is facing the problem of dropping out of university. The rate of access to higher and university education is still low, despite the many efforts made by the government to encourage mass access to higher and university education for young people. As previous research has sufficiently demonstrated, boys attend university much more than girls, and many girls drop out. We carried out this study on the perception of dropping out of university in order to demonstrate that this phenomenon is no longer to be perceived as such, but rather as a problem that affects girls as much as boys. We did this by analyzing statistical data from students at the Evangelical University in Africa, which showed that more girls than boys are currently attending university, and that they are completing their university studies at a higher rate than boys.
