Clean air requires a periodical assessment of existing and new scientific methods that underlie the regulation of major ambient pollutants- particulate matter and tropospheric ozone. There is a need for inter-disciplinary research and analysis strategies to provide more comprehensive assessment of associated health complications and biological risks. The effect of ambient air quality was studied using six tree species mainly found in the area namely Mangifera indica, Ficus benghalensis, Pongamia pinnata, Dalbergia sissoo, Holoptelea integrifolia and Eugenia jambolana.
