Pollution with heavy metals due to anthropogenic activities became a serious risk which affects ecosystem adversely, this work illustrated some sources of pollution with heavy metals such as vehicle emissions, domestic sewage, industrial and agricultural effluents, excess of pesticides and fertilizers. Furthermore; investigated some insitu remediation approaches (chemo and phyto remediation) to limit the extent of contaminants, decontaminate polluted sites and minimize the deterioration of the environment and human health.

The author graduated from soils and water department, faculty of agriculture, Benha university, Egypt in 2010 - excellent degree with honors - then continued her post graduate studies and got her M Sc in plant nutrition and soil fertility (2013) and PhD in ecology and soil chemistry (2017) then started her work as a lecturer of soil science
