In terms of total world production, Sorghum (Sorghum vulgare (L) is ranked fifth among cereals, Production of Sorghum is greatest in India, but also occurs in other countries. The Research work carried out on Sorghum (Sorghum vulgare (L) cv CSV 24SS and CSH-I in India is mostly of agronomic nature hence there is a little contribution to the physiological aspects of Sorghum. Considering these aspects in the present investigation of a study. First, one dealing with the process of germination was studied with reference to the rate, seedling growth and the effect of adequate, restricted and excessive moisture levels. Second one dealing with VA mycorrhiza associated with sorghum. Third one dealing with biochemical changes brought about in sorghum due to fungal infections of some aspects of the physiology of sorghum hybrid Fourth one dealing with tissue culture studies on one of hybrid variety CSV-24SS has been undertaken. The process of germination in Sorghum vulgare cv CSV 24SS and CSH-I hybrids of sorghum was studied with reference to the rates of germination, seedling growth and the effect of adequate, restricted and excessive moisture levels.
