The present investigation on "Studies on post-harvest changes in glaucine content of Glaucium flavum Grantz." Were carried out under two types of experiments namely (A) Studies on variation of glaucine content during drying and storage of Glaucium flavum leaves, (B) studies on degradation of pure glaucine and glaucine hydrochloride under dry conditions and in organic solvents. Under (A) type studies, galucine contents significantly decrease (1.81%) were record in leaves dried at 55oC and minimum (1.43%) in leave direct at 100oC Glaucine contents contents decreased with increase in storages…mehr

Under (A) type studies, galucine contents significantly decrease (1.81%) were record in leaves dried at 55oC and minimum (1.43%) in leave direct at 100oC Glaucine contents contents decreased with increase in storages durations under all storage conditions. Initial glaucine contents of 1.81 percent all storage were decreased to 1.58 percent after 60 days storage. Maximum means glaucine polythene bags were recorded in samples stored in evacuated polythene bags under dark conditions and minimum (1.61%) in samples bags were recorded in samples stores in evacuated polythene bags under dark polythene bags kept under light. Under (B) type of studies glaucine degradation increased with increase in storage durations.
