In industry, very few metals are used in their pure form the combination of metals with other metals, non-metals, or metalloids same specific properties improved alloys more attractive than the pure metal the present work comprises essential information on alloys in one compact volume. To achieve the best results possible in the utilization of particular metal, knowledge of the metal under various working as well as manufacturing conditions are of utmost importance. Hence for my research work, I have chosen one of the most widely used aluminum alloys (AA 7075) for the study. As this is a heat-treatable alloy and upon heat treatment, there seems to be an improvement in some of the properties as suggested in the literature, I have considered a heat treatment procedure is known as Retrogression and Re-ageing for my work, which is particularly used in heat treatable aluminum alloys for improved properties.

Dr. Sunil Kumar k  is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering R L Jalapa Institute of Technology Doddaballapur. He is having 10 years of academic experience, he obtains a Bachelor of Engineering from VTU, M Tech from SSAHE, and Ph.D., from VTU, R&D MSRIT B'lore.
