This work is the second part of an anthology of studies on the subject of the innovation process in companies and institutions, at a global and particularly Mexican level, carried out by Professor Juan Óscar Ollivier Fierro, with the collaboration of Professors Jesús Robles Villa and Mauro Alberto Flores García, members of the School of Accounting and Administration (FCA) of the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, Mexico. It analyzes the influence of innovation on the performance of companies at the global and regional levels, as well as the main factors that determine the success or failure of innovation in organizations. This work is aimed at peers, i.e. teachers, researchers and students interested in the process of innovation in organizations, based on the principle that knowledge is the heritage of mankind. I hope it will be useful and provide knowledge for future research and applications in this field, which I consider of vital interest for our economies and society in general.
