Synthesis, Characterization and Catalytic properties of AlPO and VAPO molecular sieves with different pore characteristics. Hexamethyleneimine was taken as a template for the study. Aluminophosphates such as AlPO-5, AlPO-16, AlPO-22, SAPO-35 were synthesized using the template. AlPO- 5 was taken for vanadium incorporation. Simultaneous Si and V incorporation (VAPSO-5) also studied. The results were compared with other Vanadium containing aluminophosphates such as VAPSO- 5 (Tripropylamine), VAPO-31 and VAPO-41. All the materials synthesized in this study were characterized in detail. Especially cyclic voltammetry and electrocatalysis was used for first time in such molecular sieves. An additional out of this study is a well crystalline industrially important SAPO-35 by non-aqueous media using Hexamethyleneimine template. Crystallization kinetics also carried out using hexamethyleneimine template. A plausible mechanism on AlPO synthesis also proposed.

Dr. Venkatathri Narayanan was born on 1967 at Then maha deva mangalam, India. He did his Ph.D. at National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. He did Post doctorate at France and South Korea. He has published around 200 papers. He is in Editorial board of several journals. Now he is working as Assistant Professor in NIT, Warangal, India.
