The present investigation tries to find the existing relationship, referring to the study habits with the academic performance of the students of the I cycle of the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Público de Huaraz Eleazar Guzmán Barrón. The results of the investigation show, on the one hand, that a considerable percentage of students have a low level of study habits and, on the other hand, it is reported that the majority of students have a low academic performance. That is, these scattered data, on the one hand, there is a greater tendency towards bad (study habits) and on the other hand, there is a greater tendency towards low (academic performance) makes the behavior of the variables show a very strong positive linear relationship, the same that are assumed by the researcher, in the sense that they are real results of the application of the corresponding reagents for each study variable. Forty-three percent of the students are located in the low level with respect to their academic performance, which implies a regularly achieved learning, followed by 30% who are in the medium level.
