And even the fingerprints of identical twins are not similar.This study was taken up to determine the individuality of fingerprints and the predominant fingerprint pattern South Indian Population. It was found that each fingerprint was unique. The most frequent fingerprint pattern was ulnar loop, in the total population, as well as in the sex wise distribution.
