Over the past five years, authorities and policymakers have frequently brought up the issues of gender prejudice in our social and economic lives. But focusing solely on the negative social effects of gender disparity is insufficient; more economic research that clarifies the issue has to be done. This could provide us with a nuanced remedy for the unequal treatment of women. The study's conclusion is that giving women equal opportunity with men does not grant them more rights. The study was carried out utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. The quantitative portion was carried by using descriptive statistical analysis and empirical research. For the Granger causality test and OLS regression, the data on the annual GDP, FLFPR, female unemployment rates, women's higher education attainment, and the Women in Business and Law index of Uzbekistan were used as variables. The econometric test and model revealed a negative association between FLFPR and GDP.This paper analyzes the labor market of Uzbekistan and the position of women in the labor market.
