This work deals with the two methods of synthesis of some major alkali fluoroperovskite and with their luminescence properties. Even though some of them have been already studied extensively, synthesis of such kind of complex fluorides remained challenging since decades. Among these, solid state diffusion is considered as the most efficient way of preparing phosphors for these complex fluorides at the research as well as at commercial level. But solid state conventional methods involve tedious procedures such as high temperature, costly apparatus, etc. Therefore we have decided to explore other much simpler methods of synthesis. Wet-Chemical synthesis is considered as the simplest, cost efficient and low temperature procedure for preparing phosphors. Different luminescence measurements such as Photoluminescence (PL) Thermoluminescence (TL) and Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL), showed that phosphor synthesized via precipitation method are as efficient as those prepared by solid state procedures.
