The main objective was to monitor the biomass growth rate of two barley varieties, Fouara and Sougureur, and to determine the best results obtained in hydroponics. The experiment was conducted over an eight-day period, from 05/04/2023 to 13/04/2023. Post-cultivation results showed consistent and significant biomass growth for both varieties throughout the experiment. A slight difference was observed between the two varieties, with a preference for the Sougureur variety over the Fouara variety. With regard to environmental conditions, it was found that the ideal temperature for optimum barley growth in the hydroponic system was between 24°C and 26°C. In addition, the use of spring water proved favourable for better plant growth.
