The monograph examines the issues related to the study of speech, its functions and types, the analysis of the genesis of the regulatory function of speech, as well as the practice of studying certain aspects of the verbal regulation of activity in children with speech disorders. The regulatory function of speech as a nodal unit in the process of a child's mental development offers great opportunities for improving the effectiveness of speech therapy work on the structural and semantic aspect of speech, reducing the time of speech skills automation, a positive impact on the cognitive sphere of children with speech-language pathology.
