This nematode develops pin holes like brown spots on flower, stalks, entire in the growing flower buds. As a result, the flower stalk may become stunted with crippled flower head and distorted flowers. Even sometimes there may be no opening of flower bud at all. Market value of flower is highly reduced due to reduction of fragrance and change the colour of flower.
