ALEX SMITH is a long-time travel fanatic whose semester abroad in Seville, Spain became the motivation for his leaving the comforts of a corporate job in his native United States to rekindle his love affair with Spain. Alex has lived and worked in Boston, New York City, Atlanta, Barcelona, Madrid, and Malmö. He draws on his personal and professional life experiences to help students and expats thrive abroad and back home. Alex received a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Florida, an M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, and is a CPCC (Certified Professional Co-Active Coach) through the Coaches Training Institute. He is the founder of Study U Abroad, an online community to empower students to stretch beyond their comfort zones and seize the opportunity for self-growth while abroad.
