In this book, the author recalls experiences from her adolescence, a time when she was religious and when many women construct their identities and worldviews. Taking Grease to the stage made her reflect on the structures that perpetuate the female figures in the narrative and how (un)constructing them is necessary in order not to propagate a sexist discourse. Lilith, the transgressor, takes on the role of empowerment, while Eve and Mary take on the role of submission. She is a graduate student in Portuguese Literature and its Literatures at the University of Pernambuco. She is researching gender, cinema and the imaginary. She works as an actress and dancer. She studies classical ballet and ballroom dancing, with an emphasis on Zouk. She has experience in the arts, with an emphasis on feminist literature from a social perspective.
