Aimless young Ben 'One' Kester and gruff former publican Ben 'Two' Markham become unlikely partners in a minibus tour of Melbourne underworld sites. The customers are coming, the unlikely friendship is growing: this could be the making of both of them. But can a tormentor be a mentor? And can either man overcome the past? Suburban Tours, traverses the pub sub-culture of inner Melbourne, the savage fringes of the outer suburbs and probes the significance of Bryan Adams, punting on aged geldings and the terrors of lint.
