Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Harry Koumrouyan worked in his hometown throughout his life as a teacher and school principal before becoming an assistant to the secretary of education. He then changed the course of his life and wrote three novels in French, his mother tongue, as well as a detective story for children. His toughest critic is his son Adrien who reads dad's manuscripts with a critical eye!
