In conclusion, the study dwelled on issues of peace and existing peace initiatives and examined issues of IDPs journey home where it highlights the possibility of IDPs not opting for an immediate return upon conclusion of a peace deal and that some may opt to wait and until such time when favorable living conditions in the south are brought to the level they are atthe areas of refuge in the north.

Deng Chier, Malual
Malual Deng Chier is a Sociology graduate from the Univ. of Alexandria in Egypt, May 1990. In 2012, he resigned his UN prestigious position and joined a US state department's funded project on Conflict Mitigation. He is now Director General for Program and Policy Coordination at the South Sudan Commission for Refugees Affairs in the capital Juba.
