Author Katie Schulze-Bahn was raised in a small farming town in the Pine Barrens, very close to a little sandy island. It is the place of her heart and soul. She is a wife, and mother of 4 children and 2 rescue dogs. She splits her time between a home in the country and a home on the island, and enjoys vacationing on the coast of Maine. She's an avid gardener, loves all things flora and fauna, and also enjoys sailing, kayaking, and hiking: all of which she's been relishing from a very young age.
