The present research study was carried out to investigate the sugar mills extension services in promoting modern sugarcane production technology and its impact on sugarcane production in district Muzaffargarh. A sample of 120 sugarcane growers were selected by multistage sampling method from eight Union Council (UC) of the study area and interviewed personally to collect data for further analysis. It was transpired from the results that demographic traits were linked significantly with sugarcane production. It was observed from the data that majority (70%) of respondent was illiterate and 30% were literate. It was also concluded from results that literate respondents were getting more yield of sugarcane than illiterate farmers. Similarly, in comparison with age factor 31-40 years old farmers (31.7%) were getting more yields per acre and own land holders (61.7%) were also getting high yield than tenants and owner cum tenants. Majority of respondents (98.3%) replied that they had obtained more information regarding modern sugarcane cultivation practices and latest research findings from sugar mills staff to enhance sugarcane productivity.
