The word "revelation" in the Greek is apocalypses, which means "an uncovering" or "unveiling." It is therefore a book designed to uncover or unveil, not conceal. Part of the challenge in understanding the book is that it is written in a style not familiar to modern man. It is an example of what is called "apocalyptic literature" which was quite popular from 200 B.C. to 200 A.D. The word "revelation" in the Greek is apocalypses, which means "an uncovering" or "unveiling." It is therefore a book designed to uncover or unveil, not conceal. Part of the challenge in understanding the book is that it is written in a style not familiar to modern man. It is an example of what is called "apocalyptic literature" which was quite popular from 200 B.C. to 200 A.D. As such, it was a type of literature well known to the Jews and Christians of the first century church. The early church likely did not have the problem understanding the book as we do today. They were well acquainted with the style of apocalyptic literature. I have done two years of research and teaching in the Book of Revelation. It was incredibly challenging but one that I loved and was tremendously blessed to complete. This will be a summary of my teaching notes with charts and tables and other information that I believe you will be encouraged and motivated to read over and over again. Because God's Word is so powerful and revealing that as you read you will gain greater revelation each time you read it. May God open your eyes, heart, and mind to greater revelation of what He has done, and will do in the future.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
What is the closet? Well, when I think about my closet, I think about a very compacted cluttered room with a lot of clothes, shoes, belts and other items that are a part of my everyday life! The closet is the one place I never invite people to come in and fellowship. In my closet I have had items that went back from childhood. I remember one day when I came under conviction about how extremely cluttered my closet was, and I needed a deep cleaning. I remember spending days and hours trying to go through all the things that I kept in my closet. Needless to say I opened up a whole lot of memories and began to reminiscence over my life story. I remember coming across letters, journals, and even old receipts that brought tears and laughter to my heart. I remember thinking, "Look where the Lord has brought me from." One day after much thought and meditation on what I experienced, I heard the voice of the Lord speak to my spirit and I began to see something very revealing. The Lord spoke, "Well Ramona, the closet in your home is much like the closet in your soul." What? I asked the question - Lord what do you mean by that statement? The Lord answered, "Exactly what I said - the closet in your home is much like the closet in your soul and I really want to do a deep cleaning and bring out some things that have been buried in your mind for a long time." Wow! How is that going to happen? The Lord gave me this scripture in Revelation 3:19-21; "those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne." That day, I heard the voice of the Lord knocking on the door of my closet (my mind), saying, "let me come in to have fellowship and we can clean out this cluttered mind so that you can have a brand new mind full of life, strength and power to face any situation and circumstance." That was the day I opened up the door of my cluttered mind and allowed God to come in and have fellowship with me.
