Autorenporträt
Taylor Uzzell has been blessed with deep North Carolina SMALL town roots. He was born in Hamlet, raised in Laurinburg and Cary (small back then), and now lives in Apex (Cary's cross-county rival). But his life experiences have been BIG. Taylor has been married to Susan for more than 52 years despite his many faults and screw-ups. He is the father of a beautiful daughter, Carrie, and, for twenty-two years, a special son, Tay, Both of their personalities are reflected in the pages of this endeavor. Taylor has experienced the heartache of the suicide deaths of two important people in his life, and that pain is penned within the cover of this work. But Taylor has been blest with the enjoyment of experiencing the day-to-day lives of three wonderful grandsons - Oliver, Finn, and Jett. (He continues to try to train his son-in-law, Jim in the art of easy Southern living - with some success!)This is Taylor's first book, and the first book in The Shrouded Way Saga. It has provided more than two years of pleasurable pursuit. From his early years, Stephen Uzzell has been drawn to nature with its many wonders and beauties. He often explored the wild of his familiar North Carolina mountains, piedmont, and native sandhill regions. His steps also led him through the Colorado Rockies and his wife Janie's native cascades in Washington. Her allure has held his excitement for over forty-six years, despite his daydreaming. Their musically talented daughter, Anna is the joy of their lives. Other joys have pulled Stephen into creative photography and journalism with easy distractions toward music and history. Storytelling often brings these into a pleasurable focus for him. So when brother Taylor invited him to help spin one, they were barefoot on adventure in the sandhill's again.Stephen and his family reside in Mint Hill, N.C.
