Autorenporträt
Maria Sayde Hraiki studied psychology then went on to specialize in Creative Arts Therapy at the New School in New York City which was a pivotal point in her creative career. She has been awarded the opportunity to read her poetry and display her art at many literary and creative events. Maria's poetry has been featured in multiple publications including Blueprint Magazine and won a poetry prize with Button Factory Arts where her writing was displayed on buses and trains in the Waterloo Region of Ontario, Canada. Maria is a selenophile, an artist and a poet. She is a former pageant queen who is always seeking beauty in all things. She is an advocate of lifelong learning, and is constantly deepening her knowledge by adding to her list of academic accomplishments with over ten diplomas and certificates that range from therapy to health and wellness. Alongside her academic studies, she finds nature and the universe to be the greatest teacher of all. Maria currently lives in Ontario with her loving husband, daughter, and son. Sun Set Moon Rise is her first book.
