I have been handwriting Sunday Letters in my native tongue, Tamil, for over a year. Why would anyone handwrite in this digital savvy world? As much as I would love to use a keyboard and publish letters, typing classes or using a Tamil keyboard was never a part of my school curriculum, and I did not make an effort to learn. It was easier for me to handwrite the letters, take a picture and share them on my social channels. As friends continued to appreciate these handwritten letters, I took it as a sign of encouragement. I asked myself, why don't I make this a routine and publish them every Sunday? I also wondered, who would read my letters? Irrespective of anyone reading, everyone should write. What we write may be useful to our own self at some point in time. As I had been handwriting consistently and successfully publishing letters every Sunday for several months, I then asked myself, why not compile all of these letters and publish them as a book? Today, the compilation of all my hand-written letters published every Sunday in 2023 is in this book, 'Sunday Letters'. One may wonder what change or impact could happen because of these letters? As you know, writing is a powerful tool, and all big things start small.
