Dr. Otto Stallworth retired in 2018 after a 45-year career as an anesthesiologist in Los Angeles. His first book, "Are You a N****r or a Doctor? A Memoir," chronicles his journey from Birmingham, Alabama, to Los Angeles. A passionate photographer, he shares his sunset photography in "SUNSETS by Otto, Jr., MD." Denise Nicholas invited him to the Longwood Writers' Workshop, where he began his memoir, published in February 2023. He is currently writing a murder mystery novel, "Murder at BeautyWorld." In 2022, he founded the Stallworth "OhYes!" Foundation, awarding full scholarships to students at Howard University and Meharry Medical College, his alma maters.scholarships to a student at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and to a student at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, his alma maters. His goal is to award many more scholarships from donations to the Stallworth OhYes! Foundation. "Be a Rainbow in a Needy Student's Cloud!"
