The Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre, branded as Suntec Singapore, was officially opened on 30 August 1995 as part of the Suntec City development at Marina Centre in Singapore. Previously known as the Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre (SICEC), its current name was adopted on 29 October 2001 as part of a rebranding exercise.With over 1 million square feet (93,000 m²) of space, the centre is located in the central business district of Singapore. It has one of Asia's largest column-free space in the form of a multi-purpose convention hall with 12,000 square metres of space. The exhibition hall offers another 12,000 square metres of space, which can be subdivided into three smaller halls.
