Der Kanadier Kenneth Oppel gilt als literarisches Phänomen. Er veröffentlichte sein erstes Kinderbuch, von Roald Dahl dazu ermutigt, mit 14 Jahren. Inzwischen Veröffentlichungen von zahlreichen Romanen und Drehbücher. Er lebt mit seiner Familie in Toronto.
