Dana is a native of Georgia. She grew up in the city of Decatur, GA with her parents who were married for 60 years, and her 7 siblings. Dana has one adult daughter, a bonus son, and her grandson, Superhero Leto. As a young writer, she has written many productions for Christian organizations. These plays and recitations were for holidays or special civic events. Dana's first book was I Can Do That Too! written to remind children with disabilities that they can do anything, they just have to do it differently.
