Born Erdenechimeg Jamiyan, the author, Erdenechimeg-Angelique J., is a prolific performer whose professional career spans decades, from training and learning classical elements of movement at a young age under the state merited actor and coach Tsend-Ayush, to having a successful performing career and working as a teacher and advisory coach continuously for numerous years.Her record speaks for itself. She has won awards from international circus competitions for her innovative ideas in creating novel skills and maneuvers as part of her "duo contortion" act. Over the last 20 years, she has coached many future generations of contortionists at the "O" show in Las Vegas, NV.They have presented the artistry and wonder of Mongolian contortion to audiences from around the world. She has taught a wide range of students, from children to adults, from different nations worldwide, and continues to perform herselfErdenechimeg-Angelique J. is a Mongolian contortionist who was born on December 7, 1957 in the city of Ulaanbaatar.At the age of 8, she began training as a contortionist under the tutelage of Tsend-Ayush, a People's actress of Mongolia and she became a professional contortionist in 1970 and worked in Mongolian State Circus almost for 20 years.1998- 2017 she worked as a coach and expert of contortion at " O show of Cirque du Soleil.She graduated from Mongolia State University in 1980.She earned a Pilates instruction certification in 2005 in Las Vegas, United States.Certification as a Personal Fitness Trainer in 2013 from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in the United States.Certification from the "Sports Performance Training" course in 2014 from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2017The Mongolian Contortion Association awarded Erdenechimeg-Angelique J. the honorary title of "Queen of Contortion" in 2018.Erdenechimeg-Angelique J. was awarded the title of "Merited actress of Mongolia" which was awarded to her by the President of Mongolia at the time.Ever since 1999, Erdenechimeg-Angelique J. has dedicated her life to teaching the new generation of contortionists in order to spread her passion of the art contortion across the world.
