Reta Hailu ist heute 33 Jahre alt und machte 2005 seinen ersten Abschluss in Chemie an der Universität Jimma. Später wechselte er in die Wirtschaft und studierte 2011 an der Addis Abeba University School of Commerce Verwaltung. Im Jahr 2016 schloss er sein Studium an derselben Universität mit einem Master of Arts in Logistik und Lieferkettenmanagement ab.
