This book, in the form of a collection, is part of a broader process of reflection on aspects and themes about supply chain, operations, and business that has been triggered by me and research colleagues in the area for the past five years. Constituting itself as an important turning point in this process of systematization and production of knowledge, it aims to deepen some initial findings of this ongoing debate about the business society and its relationship with the development of research, responding to some urgent demands for founding the current academic and business practice. The choice of chapters was guided by the need to present important and relevant facts on the topic. There are three aspects covered in this collection: Operations, Supply Chain, and decision-making in business for transformation processes. The ideas presented here, derived from research, thus fulfill the function of supporting the discussions that have been held and that will come in the search for continuous economic improvement. This collection is composed of 11 chapters, about the theme.
