The objective of the work presented in the book deals with the corrosion inhibition behavior of some novel surfactants in acidic medium. A number of gemini and conventional surfactants were synthesized and were tested as corrosion inhibitor in acidic media. The synthesized surfactants were characterized by NMR. The surfactants considered for investigations are: (i) Three cationic gemini surfactants of hexadecyl series with methyl spacers, namely butane diyl-1,4-bis(dimethyl hexadecyl ammonium bromide), pentane diyl-1,5-bis(dimethyl hexadecyl ammonium bromide) and hexane diyl-1,6-bis(dimethyl…mehr

The techniques used are weight loss, solvent analysis, potentiodynamic polarization measurements, AC impedance,SEM,EDAX,AFM and thermodynamic/kinetic parameters.
