Fabiola Atzeni, MD, PhD is currently Full Professor and Head of the Rheumatology Unit, University of Messina, Messina, Italy. Her clinical and research interest lies in immunotherapies in autoimmune diseases with particular focus on the investigation and management of differential response to biological therapies in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and Spondyloarthritis (SpA), and cardiovascular aspects of the different rheumatic diseases with particular emphasis on arteriosclerosis. Dr. Atzeni has co-authored over 400 publications in peer-reviewed journals and several book chapters, is a regular reviewer for several international journals. She is involved in several international and national meetings focused on cardiovascular and infection aspects.

Ignazio Francesco Masala received his degree in Medicine in 1999 from University of Cagliari and accreditation in Ortopedic surgery in 2004. He is currently Senior Consultant in Trauma and Ortopedic Unit at University of Cagliari, Italy.His clinical and research interest lies in acute and chronic pain with particular focus on the investigation and management of pain in orthopedic field.

Daniel Aletaha is a consultant rheumatologist at the Medical University of Vienna and a renowned scientist in outcomes research, clinical trials, and translational research in rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory rheumatic diseases. He received academic degrees from the Medical University in Vienna, Duke University in North Carolina, and Danube University Krems. Daniel has spent more than two years at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Daniel Aletaha is a highly cited author of the field of rheumatology and author of more than 200 publications. He is also associate editor of Arthritis and Rheumatology and RMD Open, and editorial board member of a number of rheumatology specialty journals.
