Yan Wang MD, is a professor and Chief Surgeon of Department of Orthopedics at 301 Hospital in Beijing, China. He is an orthopedic surgeon dedicated to numerous clinical experiences on correction of spinal deformity, arthroplasty and surgical treatment of patients with advanced ankylosing spondylitis in particular. Innovatively, He proposed a new spinal osteotomy technique- Vertebral Column Decancellation and has treated the world's largest number of ankylosing spondylitis patients with kyphotic deformity. He is the Deputy Editor of SPINE journal and Journal of Arthroplasty. Prof Wang is the president of Chinese Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the past President of Chinese Orthopedic Association.
