He invites you to reconsider your ideas on death by presenting many intriguing case histories of psychic experiences that have too much in common to be dismissed as 'mere coincidences': apparitions, out-of-body experiences (OBEs), near-death experiences (NDEs) and 'post-mortem' accounts of what it is like to die. He argues that only a hypothesis involving our conscious survival of physical death offers a complete and coherent explanation of such phenomena. The author suggests that, if your consciousness is transmitted through rather than actually generated by the brain, death may be considered may be considered the next phase in the adventure of life, a welcome release from the space-time limitations of the physical body.
