Andrew Etsetowaghan is a Medical Doctor with over 20 years of experience in HIV/AIDS programming, including Prevention, Treatment, Care & Support, PMTCT, S.I, Logistics/ Commodity Supply, and clinical case management. He has worked in various international and local organisations, including the Centre for Clinical Care and Clinical Research CCCRN, and was the Technical Director/ Deputy Project Director at Management Sciences for Health, responsible for spearheading the strategic design and implementation of clinical and community HIV services under the PEPFAR funded Care and Treatment for Sustained Support (CaTSS) program in Nigeria. He also worked with the Support of UNICEF to provide technical expertise to FMoH / NASCP to develop the 2-year road map (2020-2021) for the rebirth of Nigeria's National Treatment and PMTCT program (NTPP). Dr Etsetowaghan previously worked on the Global Fund round 5 & consolidated round 9 as a Senior Program Manager at Hygeia Foundation and later as the M&E Manager providing technical support for HIV/TB services in 23 states of Nigeria. He also worked with FHI 360 as the Technical Director for the Global Fund HIV project in Nigeria being instrumental to the success of the National HIV alignment project in 36 states across the entire Country. He has authored various abstracts and peer-reviewed HIV/AIDS publications, is an abstract Mentor to the International AIDS Society (IAS) and contributor to the National HIV Guideline review committee and a recipient of various awards including the prestigious John Griffith Prize of Excellence from the University of Leeds England. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Benin and a master's in public health (with distinction) from the University of Leeds, England with postgraduate training in Advanced HIV treatment and clinical research from the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerpen Belgium. He is an avid mountain bike cyclist and loves to dance. He is married to Ehigocho Gift and has a son Oristeweyinmi Andrew Jr. He is also a work-life balance / mental health advocate and supports counselling for persons with Burn-out. Dr Andrew Etsetowaghan currently works as the chief of Party for USAID-funded Accelerating Control of HIV Epidemic Control in Nigeria (ACE-cluster 4 Kwara& Niger states) implemented by Center of clinical care and Clinical Research Nigeria
