And what cannot be understood can be explained as the mischief of spirits, witches and demons. Unequal worlds are superstitious worlds. The stories in this book reflect journeys to survive in unequal worlds. Over the past 40 years some have been forgotten, some remain hidden, but others have lingered because of their dark sense of humour and strength of human spirit. Most of the stories are my own or are stylised versions of events that happened at around the same time in about the same place. All are based on personal accounts.
