Aki Suwa is a professor at the Faculty of Contemporary Society, Kyoto Women's University, Japan. Her research focuses on how environmental understanding facilitates policy formulation, and how this subsequently influences the degree of policy implementation on the ground. Masahiko Iguchi is an associate professor at the Faculty of International Relations, Kyoto Sangyo University, Japan. His main research interests are within the fields of global sustainability governance and international politics, with a particular focus on private regulation and governance, and on the climate and transport sectors.
