Currently, education for sustainable development has become one of the elements to be considered in teaching practice. The purpose of this book is to illuminate the concept of education for sustainable development, attending to its historical path and the evolution from environmental education to education for sustainability, and we will approach the definition and characteristics of each of the terms, so that, once clarified, we can approach a proposal of education for sustainable development in a precise way, through an educational project that has as a reference proposals made by UNESCO, which seek to change the styles, habits and values of society, incorporating education for sustainable development in teaching practice, such as the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. The project based on sea pollution, combines three different methodologies: Work by corners; cooperative work and workshops. These are methodologies that allow students to interact and connect withcommunity problems, generating learning opportunities.
