It focuses particularly on four sectors i.e. water and sanitation, agriculture and food security, income generation/micro-enterprise development and HIV and AIDS. The introductory sections of the book present background information, statement of the problem, study objectives, justification of the study, research methodology, limitations of the study and literature review. In chapters that follow, the book brings to the fore development projects implemented by NGOs and a synthesis study of the sustainability of the projects, an endeavor that seeks to establish the impact, effectiveness and efficiency of the projects. The concluding sections of the book provide overarching conclusions about sustainability of the projects and explore factors promoting and inhibiting long-term sustainability of the projects.
Autorenporträt
A development practitioner, researcher and aspiring academia, Livers Mukwekwezeke graduated with a Masters Degree in Development Studies in 2013 at Midlands State University, Gweru, Zimbabwe. He was research assistant for Professor Gacheni Ndlovu's book "Do Zimbabweans Exist?" Livers implemented many community development projects with A2N and FACT
