Kosova experienced massive expansion of NGOs in the aftermath of the conflict of 1999 which was largely fueled by an increased presence of international donors and involvement by international NGOs with civil society concerns. However, international involvement and levels of donor contributions to Kosova civil society has steadily declined in recent years as the focus has generally shifted from humanitarian relief and recovery, to the support of Kosova public institutions. As a young person I have been engaged in many NGOs after the war of 1999 in Kosova. I was a founder for an Environmental NGO and later I got engaged in Educational NGO and this made me experience the challenges that this sector had after the war and continues to have nowadays. I have learnt how to deal with such challenges and now I want to share with you the ways forward on how to succeed in the sector of Non-Governmental Organizations while facing many difficulties that a post-war country struggles with.
