He has a bachelor's degree in Zootechnics from the Federal University of Alagoas, specialises in Public Health and has a master's degree in Biomass Energy. He was the Endemic Diseases Coordinator at the Rio largo/AL SMS. He is the General Secretary of CRMV/AL and General Coordinator of the Zoonosis Surveillance Unit of the Municipality of Maceió/AL, where he was Entomology Coordinator.
