This is one of the unique temples in south India which is dedicated to both lord Shiva and Vishnu. In the research, questionnaire-based survey has been employed for collection of data. The Delphi approach was used in this study, and responses from a variety of groups, including tourist, residents, stakeholders, and planning authorities, were collected and analysed using empirical analysis to identify unique problems in each street. This research aims to provide a solution based on a sustainable development framework. Proposals have been framed within the scope of design and planning guidelines for temple town conservation established by the planning authorities for the benefitof Chidambaram's urban-scape and aesthetics.
