This research work was awarded for excellence in academic studies and participated in two international conferences: Planet Under Pressure in London in 2012; and the 2nd European Conference in Sustainabilityand Environment in Brighton in 2014. Also, this work added enough records to the author to be officially nominated for RAMSAR's international scientific research Prize in 2012.

Prof\ Safaa Ghoneim is a member of the IUCN, the Egyptian National Committee for Natural Conservation, and a Senior Editor of IAFOR conferences. She is an expert in Environmental Spatial Planning, Urban/City Planning, GIS, Coastal Zone Management, Natural Protected Areas, and Eco-tourism.
